through Franconia Notch to its headwaters at Profile Lake. This ride is
popular with families and offers many excellent picnic spots. Tread:

Park.
The Mount Washington Cog Railway

A ride up Mount Washington on the world's first mountain-climbing cog
railway remains, as it has for well over a century, an exciting and
unforgettable experience. The ever-changing surroundings, the
magnificent views, the sights and sounds of unique steam locomotives in
action, and some of the steepest Railway tracks in existence, combine
to place it among the best of the world's great railway journeys. This
is a trip that must be made to be fully appreciated!
The Flume Gorge
One of the most spectacular gorges of New Hampshire. The Flume offers a
nice 2 mile round trip hike exploring not only the falls and gorge but
two covered bridges and other spectacular scenery. Most people think of
the Flume as a simple tourist attraction but it is far more.
Kayaking
Our favorite kayak company is Outback Kayak located about twenty
minutes South of us. These tours offer something for everybody, are
approximately seven miles in length, and take about two hours to
complete. For those seeking some adventure, we have a tour with
challenging Class I and II whitewater, with a spectacular Class III
drop that will land you directly at our pickup spot. Eat a big
breakfast and bring a positive attitude and a dry change of clothes for
this one! Our second tour offers the paddler a more relaxed kayaking
experience. This tour picks up where our first one leaves off, and
spans another seven miles into Thornton. Here the river widens, slows
down a notch or two, and lets the kayaker dictate his or her own pace.
Hiking

Hiking the White Mountains is a venerable tradition and probably the
most popular activity in the Forest. There are over 1,200 miles of
trails available, from scenic day hikes to rugged multi-day treks
through dense hardwood forest and across barren peaks.
Golf

With two Donald Ross Designed Golf Courses right here in Bethlehem,
golfers need look no further for the perfect round! Enjoy fabulous

The Colonial Theatre

This is a venue for alternative film and humanities presentations, and
local and touring performing arts; it also solicits and fulfills North
Country communities' needs for performance and arts-based learning
opportunities. As the longest continuously operating movie theater in
the United States, the Colonial is a great part of Bethlehem’s
heritage.
The Weathervane Theatre
This theatre offers live, nightly summer, professional theatre
experiences to countless audiences, introducing children -- and
adults -- to a consistently high level of classic and contemporary live
theatre productions.
