 The Monroe room originally served as a foyer to the master bedroom of the house. Elevator service was provided to the second floor through what is now the closet. A writing desk and a small variety of books were also located here. The light fixtures are all original, and the silver one in the bathroom indicates that this portion of the bathroom originally belonged to the master bedroom, which has all silver light fixtures.
This room has a beautiful queen size antique poster bed in it. The small size and cozy nature of this room make it a favorite of those looking for our most affordable accommodations, or enjoy being close to the one they are traveling with! The toilet and sink are original to the house, and belonged in the Jackson room bathroom as a part of the matching bathroom set. At this time the bathroom has a walk in shower making it perfect for guests who prefer only a shower, or might have difficulty with a step in tub/shower.
