The Jackson room and the Pierce room were originally one
large room. This room housed all four of the Ivie daughters until
Florence married Karl Abbot and moved into the Abbot House in 1923. The
hanging light fixture exhibits the Art Deco style of decorating. The
peach colored bath fixtures are all original and were imported from
England. The original bathroom had two matching sinks and toilets so
that the four daughters had more space in their dressing area. The sink
itself weighs approximately 200lbs. The tub/shower is a tiled in claw
foot tub. This room has a lovely queen size pencil poster bed and a
love seat to curl up with your favorite book!
